Recently, a Malaysian driver in Nagano, Japan, made a very costly mistake when they double-parked at a parking lot near Matsumoto Castle.

According to Alarm 8 and FNN, on 29 April, a Malaysian driver had wedged their white rental car between other cars that were parked correctly, the distance between the rental and the parked cars was just a finger wide. As the area was fenced, it made it impossible for the cars in the back and the front 2 cars to exit.

One of the drivers who had their car blocked told the reporters that they did not know what was going on and it was just too confusing.

However, when they confronted the Malaysian woman and asked her to move their rental car, the woman just asked them to reverse so that they could get out.

When the Japanese man told her that was impossible, she clicked her tongue.

The situation dragged on and was only resolved when a tow truck came to remove the car. In the end, the cars were all okay, and the Malaysian driver had to pay a towing fee of 50,000 yen (RM1,521) and the parking fees for the 7 cars that could not go out.

This is certainly a very expensive lesson for the Malaysian driver. In order to not make this mistake, we should always read up on a travel destination that we are going to to have a better idea about things.
