RM400 may not mean that much for you but for others who have only so much to survive on a day, it might take them days to earn that amount of money.
In a TikTok video by @fs79076, a man approached a Putu Mayam seller in Shah Alam, Khairul, and told him that he wanted to buy ALL of his food. The food was sold at RM4, and Khairul cried not only because the man helped him in the sales for the day but also something else.
The man’s purchase has helped Khairul settle his outstanding Parents and Teacher’s Association (PIBG) fee, which was over RM400. His purchase was only RM120 in total, but the man paid a whopping RM700, saying they were partly from the subscribers of his channel.
“I am sad because today my son in secondary school is asking for money. The teacher has reminded me via WhatsApp that the school’s PIBG money over RM400 has not been paid.”
“I was supposed to have surgery, but priorities…”
Khairul, 44, has stopped working due to his illness – gout. In the video, he also said that he was supposed to have surgery for his gout. However, due to budget constraints and high commitments, he had to put the plan on hold.
“I have to work by selling Putu Mayam to support my family.”
Before the man left, there was another surprise in store for the family man – an additional RM200 which the man asked Khairul to give to his son. In total, Khairul got himself an unexpected RM900 on that day, which was a big help for him to settle any outstanding debt.
The video, however, has since been removed from TikTok but has been reshared on X by @bckupacc99.

Perhaps, this shall be a reminder for all of us to be grateful with what we have.
