The daughter of Haji Ashaari Mohammad, also known as Abuya, claimed that GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) members do not follow the deviant teachings of her late father’s cult.
In the latest update on the GISBH case, Sinar Harian reported that the police found out the company is still practising the banned “Aurad Muhammadiya” teachings.
Police have disclosed the confessions
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said that despite rumours that these practices had stopped, those claims aren’t true.
He added that police investigations so far have revealed confessions showing that the Aurad Muhammadiya teachings are still being practised by those they’ve arrested and questioned.
“Even if there are statements going around saying they don’t practise it anymore, those are just baseless claims. We will only speak based on the details and findings of the investigation”
“We follow the syllabus set by JAIS”
During a live conference yesterday, Khaulah Ashaari, the daughter of Abuya, denied all accusations that GISBH follows her late father’s deviant teachings.
She emphasised that GISBH is purely a business and not a religious group subscribing to the “Aurad Muhammadiyah” ideology of Abuya.
She acknowledged that small groups might still follow the banned teachings but emphasised that GISBH avoids deviant practices and has completed courses set by the authorities, including the religious department.
“The schools operated by GISBH in Selangor follow the syllabus set by JAIS, ensuring that their teachings align with the state’s religious guidelines,” she added.
