Despite the tightened SOPs, there are still more positive cases being reported at prominent public areas. The latest place to report a new positive Covid-19 case is at the Machines Service Centre at Northpoint Office, Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur.

In a statement published on their Facebook page, Machines confirmed that one of their employees received a positive Covid-19 result on 26 October 2020.

They added that the employee has not been at work since clocking out on 16 October. The employee had come in close contact with another positive case outside the workplace. Following this, the Ministry of Health summoned her for a swab test on 23 October.

Machines reassured that they are working closely with MOH to identify contacts for testing and quarantine.

“We shall be conducting wider precautionary testing in the interest of the safety of our employees and customers.”

For now, the Northpoint Service Centre has been closed for disinfection and cleaning until further notice. Machines also took this opportunity to remind everyone to adhere to MOH’s and MKN’s guidelines and SOPs to deter the spread of the disease and keep our community safe.

Let this be a reminder for us to just STAY HOME unless we really need to leave the house. We managed to reduce the cases once and we can do it again!
