For many of us, our pets are pretty much our family members and losing them would be as painful as losing a loved human being.
This morning (February 28), Muar MP Syed Saddiq revealed that his cat, Toby, has suddenly passed away.
In a heartbreaking post on social media, Saddiq wrote, “Toby, my beloved cat has left us. So sudden. So sad. I miss him so much. Thank you for being there for me in the toughest of times. May you rest well in ‘Cat heaven’.”

He went on to share several pictures of himself with Toby, who he obviously was very close with. In fact, Saddiq’s relationship with his cats is well known as he had even declared them as part of his assets in his declaration of assets.
Saddiq even runs an Instagram account dedicated to his cats, Toby and Meow Meow, where he posts videos and pictures of their shenanigans.

The post has quickly garnered traction as netizens poured in to offer their condolences.
“I know how it feels losing a cat. I hope you stay strong.”
“I know how you feel, everyone loves Toby. He will be missed. Gone but never forgotten,” said a netizen.
