Dato’ Aliff Syukri is a famous Malaysian cosmetic millionaire and like all celebrities, he’s constantly under the scrutiny of netizens. For some reason, his videos on Facebook don’t often get positive reactions.
So, it’s no surprise that his first ever action movie is heavily criticised by netizens. Admittedly, the Malay-language movie, Badang, didn’t perform well because according to IMDB, it received a really low rating of 1/10, and only 5 per cent of its viewers enjoyed the movie.

Seeing all those soul-crushing comments on social media, Aliff couldn’t hold back anymore and decided to hit back at those critics in a recent video.
“You’ve gone overboard with the insults. Do you think I’m a rock? Or a piece of wood?”
“It’s the best film, the best artistic work, and it’s better than all the other films like Black Panther. You haven’t seen my film and you’re already bashing it,” Aliff said.
Well, that’s certainly a bold statement, to say that Badang is better than Black Panther. The last we checked, Black Panther has a rating of 7.9/10 on IMDB and most netizens loved the film. Well, it’s a Marvel film…

Needless to say, Facebook users quickly shared their two cents upon hearing the shocking statement from Aliff.
“You can be Badang, Cicak Man or anything you want to be, but why would you compare your movie to a famous Hollywood movie?” a netizen said.
“Even movies like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman had a tough time competing with Marvel movies, and here you are saying Badang is better than Black Panther,” another Facebook user said.
Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We’re sure the local movie has its own attractive points.
