As Malaysia enters the endemic phase, more social activities will resume and more economic sectors will reopen. The authorities will not be able to control everyone’s movement, hence it is highly advisable that we do our own Covid-19 self-test regularly to protect the ones around us.

Since the government is unable to track who tests positive or negative, the Ministry of Health (KKM) has urged everyone to report their Covid-19 test results on the MySejahtera application.

In a Facebook post, KKM advises individuals who test positive for Covid-19 to isolate at home. If your home is unsuitable for isolation, contact the nearest Covid-19 Assessment Centre (CAC) for further assessment.

Next, report your positive results through the MySejahtera application by selecting the ‘Covid-19 Self Test’ icon at the top right corner of the home page, and selecting ‘Update Self Test Result’.

You will then be taken to another page where you can fill in your personal details, and answer further questions about the test.

Once that is complete, a Home Surveillance Order (HSO) will be issued digitally in MySejahtera or manually by a District Health Office (PKD).

Over the next 14 days, report your health condition using the Home Assessment Tool (HAT), and if symptoms worsen, call a CAC or 999 (for emergencies), or go to the hospital in your own vehicle.

Let’s all do our part and do a Covid-19 test regularly to prevent any unnecessary spread of the virus. Keep yourself and your loved ones safe!
