KJ Congratulates New Health Minister, Hopes That She Will Uphold Excellent Public Health System

Khairy Jamaluddin has congratulated his successor in the Ministry of Health (MOH), Dr Zaliha Mustafa and wished her all the best in performing her duties as Health Minister.

Furthermore, Khairy also hoped that she would continue to fight for an excellent public health system in our country.

Taking to his official Twitter account, Khairy, who is also the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Rembau also urged Dr Zaliha to strive and fight for allocations for MOH that commensurate with the hard work done by the health community in Malaysia.

Khairy asserted, “Congratulations Dr Zaliha for being appointed as the new Health Minister. Good luck and do continue to fight for an excellent public health system and get allocations so as to commensurate with the hard work of the MOH community. All the best!”

Yesterday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced his Cabinet lineup which had a few surprises, including the appointment of Dr Zaliha Mustafa as the new Health Minister.

Dr Zaliha, who is a first-time MP after winning the Sekijang seat during the 15th General Election (GE15) currently runs her own private clinic in Bandar Putra Kulai, Johor.

Previously, she had served as a medical officer in district hospitals in Taiping, Perak, and Pekan, Pahang for 3 years.
