Imagine finding a little kitten in danger and not doing anything to save it.
Thankfully, that’s not the Malaysian way as many have shown that they’d go above and beyond to save a little creature in need of help.
A pet supply store, kittycat grocery, took to their TikTok page to showcase how a frequent stray feeder in Subang had submerging himself underwater in a full drain to save a little kitten stuck inside.
It all started when the kitten was spotted directly below the drain’s grate. Fire and rescue personnel were called to the scene though they could not do anything as the grate needed to be broken in order to rescue the kitten and the owner of the store where the grate was located refused to allow it.
“The fire and rescue personnel asked us to leave as they were afraid that the mother cat would not return to take its kitten (in our presence). But we couldn’t help but think that it was going to rain.”
Considering that it soon started to rain and the drain was filling up to the brim quickly, a stray cat feeder known as ‘Uncle Cat’ who is also a frequent customer at their store decided to step in, literally.
Fully submerging himself into the drain from a open neighbouring grate, he managed to rescue to little kitten and to their surprise, there was another!
“The rain was getting heavy, the water in the drain was getting higher, if we would have left it there maybe the kitten would have died. With the drain full of rubbish, worms and rats, what other choice did we have,” they added.
So, Uncle Cat managed to save not 1 but 2 adorable little kitten who have since been cleaned up and are up for adoption at kittycat grocery, Subang Jaya (though, we won’t be surprised if someone has already snatched them up because they’re so cute)!
