An old video is going viral again online, and for good reason.

Very rarely do we see stray cats and dogs treating each other as companions. So, when you do find an odd pair like that, would you want them to eventually become separated?

A veterinarian and the clinic she works for, in Simpang Renggam, Johor, decided that they’d adopt a stray cat and dog duo in an effort to prevent them from being separated should they ever be caught by their city council. The veterinarian, Dr. Marlia Zulkapli, took to her TikTok page to showcase the stray cat and dog BFFs.

She wrote, “We saw a video on Facebook, about a stray puppy and kitten that were always together. They played, joked around and ate together. Caring people in the Yong Peng area always gave them food.”

Seeing how the two had become like family, they feared that the furry friends would eventually be separated. So, they acted fast.

“We were worried that the city council would catch one of them, they would of course be sad to be separated. So, we made the drastic decision to capture and take care of them at the clinic and hope that they grow up together.”

They first managed to capture the kitten as it immediately approached them when they offered food. The puppy, on the other hand, had to be chased but they ultimately got a hold of it too.

“And finally, they are safely at the clinic, we made them a nice house complete with toys. And alhamdulillah, the kitten is happy. The puppy is a little scared,” they added.

We’re sure the puppy will eventually ease up knowing that it is with people with nothing but good intentions.

Kudos, Dr. Marlia and her team, for rescuing the duo together and giving them a loving home.
