Many Malaysians are on the edge of their seat, waiting for 2pm today as they are looking forward to seeing which coalition will be formed to build a new government.
However, Istana Negara has issued a statement saying that the deadline has been extended by a day.
“The YDPA has announced that the process of political party leaders and political coalitions to submit their political coalitions post-GE15 to form a new government and the candidature of the 10th PM of Malaysia is extended till 2pm of 22nd November.”
“This is due to requests from the political party leaders that were received by the palace today.”
Other than that, the King also requests for the rakyat to be calm and patient until the new government is formed and the 10th PM has been elected.
His Majesty reminds Malaysians that the administration of the country is still ongoing under the caretaker government.
The YDPA urged Malaysians to pray that the formation of the new government and the candidature of the 10th PM go smoothly for the sake of the country.
We hope that Malaysians will heed His Majesty’s words and remain calm during these times of uncertainty.
