VIP traffic escorts have become so common that you can even just get one for yourself at a price!

But for regular road users, they can be such a hassle and so frustrating when you have to give way to a VIP escort which could even result in some damage to your vehicle.

Recently, a netizen took to Twitter to slam Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Ibrahim (TMJ) after they alleged that he and his escorts had caused his car to hit the dividers on the side of the road.

The netizen wrote, “It was crazy crowded at the traffic light, suddenly a siren sounded, so I had to swerve my car and squeeze it to the right until I hit the divider on the side of the road,” as well as tagging TMJ’s Twitter account to blame him for causing the accident.

“If I send under insurance it would take almost a month to fix, but if I send to the workshop it will be fixed in 3-4 days. But I am just a canteen operator, if I don’t have a car for a month, what do I feed my staff, maybe it’s something trivial, but this car is to feed 3 of us as a family.”

The post was shared yesterday (November 6) at 7:23pm by the netizen.

“I wasn’t even out today!”

The netizen’s tweet has gone viral and even captured the attention of TMJ himself who took it upon himself to dispel the allegations made by the user.

In TMJ’s tweet which was shared on the same day at 8:28pm, TMJ wrote, “Salam Mr. If you want to make up a story at least be reasonable. I didn’t even go out today.”

“I understand that GE is coming up, but your tactic of manipulation and lying won’t solve the problems faced by the rakyat. There are many other positive ways that are more effective.”

It’s not his fault you crashed into the divider

Meanwhile, the majority of netizens appeared to side with TMJ and said that whether or not the allegations are true, it’s not TMJ’s fault that the complainant crashed into the divider.

“Where did you get your driving licence? You yourself drove into the divider but you blame others.”

“It’s your carelessness. Why blame others? If it was an ambulance that passed by and the same incident happened, would you then blame the ambulance?” asked a user.

Another commented, “Why did you have to hit the divider? Just go to the side and signal right then stop or slow down your car.”

What do you think? Should TMJ be blamed for the driver’s accident?
