The Ministry of Health (MOH) has apparently reduced the wait time for health services at primary care clinics from 3 hours to 30 minutes.

Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, took to his X page to announce the achievement that was allegedly made successful through the digitalisation of healthcare services.

He wrote, “We’ve digitalised key services, reducing waiting time in major primary care clinics from 3 hours to just 30 minutes! From 107 clinics between 2007 and 2022, to 159 clinics in 2024 until early this February 2025 alone, (the number of clinics) increased by 48.6 percent!”

“2025 is the year of execution. Time to walk the talk!”

According to a report by Sinar Harian, Dr Dzulkefly had previously announced during a Dewan Rakyat session that MOH aims to implement digital transformation in every health facility nationwide within the next 4 to 5 years.

This includes reviewing all digital systems at MOH, in addition to setting a new digitalisation strategy in line with the latest technology trends, as well as implementing and monitoring the implementation that has already been planned.
