Most of us Malaysians grew up playing in puddles and in the heavy rain when it poured. Sometimes, we even treated the floods in our neighbourhoods like our own personal swimming pools.

So, it’s only fair that foreigners get to do as the Romans did and be Malaysian when it rains and floods, right?

The Penang Kini Facebook page recently shared images and a video of a foreign man lying face down and playing in shallow flood waters in Georgetown, Penang.

They wrote, “A foreign man was so excited that he was willing to swim and dive into (flood waters) in the Komtar area when it rained so much that the place flooded this morning (September 4). All kinds of behaviour are coming out, no?”

In the images and video shown, the foreign man can be seen really enjoying himself as he submerges himself into the shallow flood waters by lying down and playing around.

His antics were so entertaining that some people even stopped to record him.

Not going to lie, playing around in the flood waters look really fun and we kind of wish we could do it too.

You can check out the video here.

Would you have dived into the floodwaters like the foreign man? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
