Singer-songwriter John Legend attributed his English teacher, Mrs. Bodey, as “instrumental in the educational journey that carried [him] through school and into [his] career”. Mrs. Bodey builds in him the confidence and ability to a songwriter.
Teachers, in our institution’s case, are the lecturers and professors. Teachers do play an integral part in the nurturing and well-being of the next generation. Nothing is more rewarding for teachers than seeing their students graduate and achieving greater success in life than themselves.
In conjunction with Teachers’ Day, UOW Malaysia KDU is releasing a cinematic video this Sunday, 16 May at 12PM to show our love and appreciation to all the teachers, tutors, lecturers, and professors of the world.
Entitled “Anda Luar Biasa” (You Are Extraordinary), this short film shows how a teacher’s sacrifice is often overlooked and misunderstood. You will discover the struggles, grittiness, dilemmas of a teacher while juggling her own life yet still trying to give her best to her students. It also shows the human side of teachers and the significant impact they have on their students.
Are you looking for a tear-jerking, bittersweet story? Anda Luar Biasa will keep you glued to the screen. We have scouted the range of great cast to help bring the Teachers’ Day message across the nation. Stay Tuned.
