No love is like family love – one that comes unconditionally.

Our parents are the ones who laboriously raised us up, trying their hardest to provide the best for us. Unfortunately, in this very sad reality, some kids still do not have the appreciation for all the blood, sweat, and tears they’ve put in throughout the tens of years.

In a recent video recorded by a fellow Malaysian, Suhaida, it shows an elderly man selling keropok in the streets. If you think this is sad, you’ll be crying your eyes out (just like us) to find that he’s doing so on a walker. YES, ON A WALKER!

To top it all off, upon further questioning by Suhaida and her male companion, they found out that he was actually sent there by his own kids.

“Those who hantar you here earlier, were they your kids?” they asked.

The elderly responds with an “ah”, indicating a yes.

In the video, Suhaida can be seen wiping her tears upon knowing the fact that the elderly man’s healthy children and in-laws would even treat this sickly old man in such a way.

In disbelief, Suhaida’s male companion further stressed, “Come on. Pak cik should be staying at home, not out working like this.”

Suhaida then asked how much the keropok cost, in which the elderly man responded “RM5”. The kind-hearted lady said she’ll buy all of it and said that she can distribute the keropoks to an orphanage.

In her Facebook post, she writes,

“The audacity of a kid to do this to their own parent! Tomorrow’s Raya and you send your dad out to the streets to sell keropok. Your dad is not in good health.

“When I asked whether he has eaten, he said “not yet, hungry”. He has a kid, grandchild, and an in-law. They are all healthy, yet they’re doing this to their own father. WHY??!

“With his health condition, he should be at home resting, especially when it’s Raya tomorrow.”

The video sparked outrage and broke the hearts of many. In 9 hours, the post garnered a massive 65k shares. The incident is believed to have happened in Perlis.

Guys, treat your family well, especially your elders. Don’t regret when they are no longer here.
