Sick of going to malls? What about going to the library where you don’t have to spend tons of money? The KL Library has gone through a major facelift and it now looks instaworthy! So, why not?

Whether you’re going there to study, trying to get some work done or maybe you just want to get some Instagram shots then why not head to the Kuala Lumpur Library located near Dataran Merdeka. I mean, look at it!

This is the renovated KL Library nearby Dataran Merdeka, not to be confused with the one on Jalan Tun Razak. Admission to this library is completely free and so is their membership. When you become a member, you can freely borrow the books there, use their private rooms and also use their computers at the internet cafe!

This library is also very accessible and you can reach it using public transport (LRT, MRT and bus). If you want to, you can also drive there as there are parking spots there.

The Internet speed there is ultra-fast and it can reach up to about 90mbps! You can literally watch a movie without any lag!

If you’re a parent then there are also facilities such as play areas for children. So you don’t have to worry!

The operating hours of this library are as follow:

MONDAY: 2.00 PM – 6.45 PM
TUESDAY – FRIDAY: 10.00 AM -6.45 PM
SATURDAY & SUNDAY : 10.00AM  – 5.00 PM
 
Closed on: First weekend of every month and public holidays
Instead of facing your phones, tablets and computers, how about re-reading your favourite books in the library?
