Swimming pools including public pools, condominium and apartment pools as well as pools in sports complexes will be allowed to open starting 1st July, said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.
In a press conference today (22 June), he said that this comes with a list of strict standard operating procedures (SOP) to be followed such as temperature checks and a limited number of people allowed in the pool at one time.
The pools will also undergo regular cleaning daily after each visit.
However, the minister added that even though pools are opened, water theme parks are still prohibited from opening.
Last week, the Defence Minister announced that only certain pools will be opened, specifically for training athletes.
