By now, we’re sure everyone and their grandmother is familiar with Datuk Seri Vida and her viral song, “I Am Me” (and if you haven’t, are you even from this planet?!). The catchy tune definitely caught the attention of Malaysian netizens, who are still unsure what to think of the song.
Regardless of Malaysians’ differing opinions, the song is undoubtedly popular and has over 3 MILLION views and over 39,000 likes on YouTube! Woah, seriously?!
If you think she’s stopping there, you’re dead wrong because the Malaysian diva is not planning on being a one-hit-wonder!
In an interview with Berita Harian, the Vida Beauty founder shared that she wants to duet with none other than K-pop superstar, Psy!
The ambitious entrepreneur and singer described her joy when her song became the subject of every Malaysian’s attention, including people from other countries.
“I thought it would take a long time for it to gain popularity, but it became viral in such a short time.”
“As I had hoped, the song became a phenomenon not only in Malaysia, but in many other countries too.”
However, she plans on taking her time with her future projects, saying that she’ll give it another year before she graces us with another song.
Datuk Seri Vida expressed that she’s not only interested in singing, as she has always wanted to have her own talk show, saying, “I also want to be like Oprah Winfrey, who has her own talk show that the whole world watches.”
Wow, we certainly admire this woman’s ambition! We guess she’s truly living la vida! 😛
