A lot of people can cry because of food. Why not! Food is truly a moving and emotional thing. And this is one story where life’s simplest things can bring so much joy.

Taking to Facebook, WatiWan MayaAdam CyraRysa wanted to surprise her children with McDonald’s for iftar.

Now being a special time in the month of Ramadan, where families would strive to breakfast together, this mother of two thought that it would be a good idea to trick and surprise her children with their favourite meal.

Well isn’t that sweet? Hilariously, her son Adam burst into tears – clearly happy at the surprise he received.

Displaying Mother of the Year moves, WatiWan MayaAdam CyraRysa tried as hard as she could to conceal her surprise for her children, waiting until the very last minutes before iftar to reveal her surprise.

The crying did not just end with a pleasant surprise but was extended to the dinner table when Adam showed all of us just how much a simple gesture can bring the greatest joy.

Biting into his much-awaited chicken nugget, Adam seems to be in a state of euphoria, savouring the flavour of the crunchy yet juicy chicken nugget.

Great, now we want nuggets too.

According to an interview WatiWan MayaAdam CyraRysa had with mothership.sg, her son’s reaction was due to his sensory sensitivity and mild autism.

Netizens who watched the video clip were moved by him and his pure candidness!

For whatever the reason, many would agree that food will always have the ability to move anyone to tears.
