Animal carcass on the road is usually cleared by the relevant authorities, or in unfortunate circumstances, the dead animals just rot there. It takes guts to remove the carcass from the road not just due to the stench but also the risk of getting into an accident when you cross the road.
An aunty recently, however, defied the odds by doing not what many people would dare to do. In a TikTok post by @ummish4hnuur, the aunty was seen picking up a dead kitten in the middle of the road near a traffic light.
With a few pieces of tissue, the aunty gently picked up the dead kitten and quickly walked back to her car, and placed the carcass into the car boot.
“Out of so many cars that drove by, you were the only one that dared to pick up the dead kitten. So much respect to you, aunty. Thank you so much,” Ummi said in her post.
It’s no doubt that doing so at the traffic light when the cars are not moving is much safer but the aunty is still prone to the risk of an accident. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Ummi said the incident took place at a traffic light in Shah Alam, Section 13 headed to Stadium Malawati from Bukit Jelutong.
Ummi also described the aunty as “the champion” for her brave act in ignoring the stench and danger just to remove the dead kitten from the road and place it into her car boot.
In the meantime, despite not being at the scene, netizens were also touched by the aunty’s act, dubbing it “1 in a million.”
“Sometimes, our concern about getting hit by another car is the reason why we don’t stop our car in the middle of the road.”
“I saw a car hitting a cat the other day, I carried it and saw it breathed its last. I couldn’t describe that pain in my heart.”
