The AIA branch in Plaza 33 has confirmed that one of its agents has tested positive for Covid-19. The patient is an agent who had attended training in the Petaling Jaya branch on March 4th and after the Health Ministry had confirmed the case, they had immediately taken action.
According to Sinchew, the management of Plaza 33 had immediately sterilised the area while AIA branch had conducted contact tracing to identify and inform those who had come into close contact with the said agent. People who had close contact with the patient were required to self-quarantine at home. The AIA office in Plaza 33 will remain open as usual with minimal disruptions, the statement said.
Meanwhile, Plaza 33 said that they would be carrying out temperature screening and any visitors who were exhibiting symptoms could possibly be denied entry. The management added, “Visitors to tenant’s office are encouraged to complete a short questionnaire to confirm their recent travels as additional preventive measures.”
Public areas and surfaces with high contact such as elevators, elevator buttons, doorknobs and toilets would be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Plaza 33 remains fully operational and the restaurants are safe. The confirmed case is a life planner at AIA and is now receiving treatment in a government hospital.
