Being the top student in a class is incredibly rewarding. As parents, there’s a unique sense of satisfaction in knowing that your child is putting in the effort to achieve that.
Mrs. Gomathy Harit, also known as Rossie Mummy, reached out to WORLD OF BUZZ to share her 6-year-old son’s unbelievable accomplishment.
1/2,998 students in Kumon Malaysia!
Rosie Mummy, as her son Sai Harinnath calls her, excitedly shared how Sai recently secured the top spot out of 2,998 students in Kumon Malaysia for doing Form 4 Mathematics and English literature.
Sai started his Kumon journey with Mathematics and English when he was just 4 years old back in 2021 at Sri Batu Caves. He was guided by Pn. Zawyiah, an instructor with over 35 years of experience, and supported by dedicated teachers.
A boy genius!
Sai has a remarkable love for learning and endless curiosity.
Rosie Mummy shared how Sai’s fascination with space knows no bounds, effortlessly remembering facts about planet sizes, distances, sounds, smells, moon counts, names, types of stars, and more.
“We’ve picked up a lot from him as well. He started with basic numbers and reading, and he just took off from there. By the time he was 4, he was already ahead by 2 years in both English and Mathematics, performing at the level of a Standard 2 student.”
She pointed out how Sai is really good at managing his daily homework, highlighting that in 2023, he ranked 1st out of 1,586 students in Mathematics at the Standard 5 or 6 level, and 2nd out of 458 students in English at the standard 3 or 4 level across Kumon Malaysia.
“He enjoys his time by doing research and experiment mostly”
Sai loves Science, Mathematics, and English the most. He is currently doing Form 4 Mathematics and English Literature, he’s also a skilled swimmer, completing Python coding in Minecraft in January 2024.
He is also busy with Kiddo Science and chess, and excels in International Olympiad Mathematics competitions, Kangaroo Maths, Science, and Bahasa Melayu, which he mastered at age of 4.
“As parents, we’ll always be there to support Sai in achieving his dreams. He aspires to become a dentist and a Kumon teacher, and we couldn’t be prouder. He’s truly gifted, and words can’t express how proud we are of him.”
We’re excited to see Sai continue to grow and excel in the future!
