Woman Cheats Death After Concrete Slab From Construction Falls On Her Car in KL

Taking place at the Sungai Besi – Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway (SUKE), the driver of a silver Saga walked away from a near-death experience after a concrete slab from the construction slammed her car.

The woman, who was driving along the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) from Sungai Besi, heading towards Ampang, stopped after a parapet wall fell off the structure of the highway and hit her car.

Videos and images have made their way on social media gave us a glimpse of what took place.

Cheras Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said that the 25-year-old woman was rescued by members of the public and walked away from the incident with just an injured left hand.

The company in charge of the construction has also released a statement on the matter.

“In the incident, the driver of the vehicle sustained a minor injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment.”

“An immediate stop-work order has been issued on the site, and SUKE will provide full cooperation to the authorities on the matter.” 

“We regret all the inconvenience caused and will ensure that all safety aspects will be prioritized and enhanced for the safety of everyone.”

We urge members of the public to allow and afford authorities time to carry out the investigation on the matter.
