Before llaollao, Yole and other frozen yogurts (froyo) brands dominate the market, there was one legendary brand: Tutti Frutti, the 90’s and 00’s childhood favourite froyo brand.

Tutti Frutti used to have around 119 outlets around Malaysia, according to its Facebook page. However, all stores are permanently closed and there is only one outlet left in Bukit Tinggi, Klang. Both its Facebook and Instagram pages have also not posted any updates since 2016.

I went to the one and only Tutti Frutti store in Malaysia on Independence day with my friend, it was still open with only one staff working. The store looks old and still retains the design like last time, and everything, including the froyo machines, is still working fine.

Just like the old days, we could still take however much froyo we want, fill in our own favourite toppings, and weigh it on the scale afterwards. The price is RM5.30 per 100 grams.

There were a few flavours to choose from, I got the strawberry and original froyo. To my surprise, the taste of the froyo is great and still very much like last time! The toppings on the other hand are just alright.

We got another mango froyo and paid around RM27 for three cups. We were glad to find that the froyo is still as delicious as we remembered, and it reminds us of our childhood.

Many probably are unaware of this Tutti Frutti store in Klang, since there were no other customers present even though we went on a public holiday. Anyway, here are the address and operating hours if you want to try it:

Address: Tutti Frutti Bukit Tinggi Klang, 5KS, No 99-0, 7, Jln Mahogani, Bandar Botanik, 41200 Klang, Selangor
Operation hours: Everyday 12pm to 10pm
