As we all know, the queen and King are currently in Borneo for Their Majesties’ Kembara Kenali Borneo tour. The tour spans 10 days from 3 to 13 September and so far, many things have happened during the tour.

On 8 September, a video of the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah shedding tears was posted on Istana Negara’s Instagram account.

In the short clip, Tunku Azizah was crying as Her Majesty was touched by how the people of Sabah were waiting in the pouring rain for the arrival of Their Majesties at Sepitang which is the convoy’s final destination in Sabah before moving on to Sarawak.

“Sabah is crying, I am also crying, the people are crying, the sky is crying but they are still out there in this heavy rain. I (am) already half wet because I wound down the (car) window.”

Tunku Azizah added:

“Thank you so much. Tuanku (Al-Sultan Abdullah) and I will remember this for the rest of our lives… We are really sorry and we feel bad for the people who are waiting out there in the rain because we cannot go down and see them.”

The Queen also prayed for the people who were in the rain, “I pray that everyone will not be sick, will not have fever for waiting in the rain for so long.”
