McDonald’s just launched their new super spicy fried chicken last week and it’s actually x3 the hotness. Yes, THREE TIMES THE SPICINESS.

Of course, Malaysians being the badasses that they are, flocked to McD’s to get their very own taste of it. If you have not tried it, then read on to find out what we think! If you’ve tried it, continue reading anyway!

We went there on the second day it launched and… the crowd was brutal.

To provide a little context, we believeee we have a 9.5/10 spice tolerance. To give a better picture, here’s how we eat our spicy noodles:

  • Samyang noodles: Eat with chili padi
  • Maggi’s x2 pedas giler: Good amount of spiciness
  • Mamee Daebak Ghost Pepper noodles: Can finish the whole cup but stomach will regret after

Needed to wait for 1 hour to 1.5 hours for our x3 spicy chicken

Upon ordering, we were told that it’ll take at least 1 to 1.5 hours till we get our chicken. Left with no choice because we are determined to get those chicken, we said okay to waiting.

1.5 hours later, this is our verdict:

The chicken was fresh out of the fryer – due to the super high demand so it was still hot and crunchy.

Upon the first bite, we didn’t really feel the heat but we did feel a slight tingle our my tongues. After a few bites of the red colour skinned chicken breast, we started to feel a little sweaty.

Taste & texture: It was really good and tender.

Spiciness: At a good level that wasn’t too overwhelming for us.

However, just when we thought that was it – that it wasn’t thattttt spicy – our tummies began to rumble hours later. About 4 hours later, our stomachs couldn’t really stand the spiciness so we must warn you about that! Most of us even had to use the toilet a couple times the next day.

Verdict: Going in skeptical, we were quite surprised how spicy it was. So, definitely worth a try!

Have any of you guys tried it yet? What did you think about it? Share it with us in the comments section!
