Although not typical, due to time constraints and other operational considerations, many pilots considered it a show of courtesy to the passengers when they take their time to greet/wave their passengers goodbye.
Such as the case for this pilot, onboard his AirAsia flight.
Taking to Twitter, AirAsia Allstar Capt JKF (@jfkjohan) shared how he would greet passengers especially kids leaving his flight.
“We departed early and landed early. Always a blessing when we get to meet our ‘younger’ guests that #FlyAirAsia.”
“Thanks for the smiles kids!”
This scored brownie points with netizens, as a majority commended the captain for his hospitality.
“Cool and heartwarming. Wish you have a blessed eid, Captain!”
Another, in typical Malaysian fashion, asked for duit raya.
Let’s hope that acts like this will inspire more Malaysians to go above and beyond with their service.
