While many of us are at home during this pandemic, trying to figure out what to do, many others are making the best of their time.

For instance, an engineer decided to build a homemade hearing aid for his mother.

The Singaporean Trade and Industry Minister, Chan Chun Sing, took to his Facebook page to showcase the innovative son’s device.

He wrote, “This is a homemade hearing aid created by a loving son for his mother. Came across this device during my block visit.”

Not only did the engineer’s hard work pay off, as the hearing aid is clearly practical and helpful for his mother, but he also made her very proud.

“The mother can hear better now, using the earphones connected to it. She was full of pride when talking about her son, who is an engineer. Rightfully so! Ideas that become reality, transforming how we live,” he added.

We can only imagine how happy his mother was upon receiving her son’s thoughtful gift.

It is understandable that the pandemic can be very depressing for everyone, but the least we can do is uplift our elderly parents however we can. In this son’s case, he built his mother a homemade hearing aid.
