“Get summer battle results without having to fight.”

It’s not a surprise that mosquitoes and Malaysians don’t mix well. While we’re accustomed to having these little, annoying bloodsuckers around the house and having to deal with dengue outbreaks on a yearly basis, let’s face it, they’re clearly something we can live without!

But it seems that in some parts of the world, mosquitoes are considered ‘trendy’. A Taiwanese e-commerce platform is currently selling a mosquito stamp that you could use to stamp on your skin to reproduce the traces of a swatted mosquito!

Yeap, you heard that right! Dead mosquitoes are trendy.

These imported mosquito stamps are made in Japan by ekoD Works and are currently being sold on Pinkoi, a platform based in Taiwan that sells products designed by independent Asian designers. The mosquito stamps are made from rubber and are sold at RM80 each.

According to the product description on the platform, the item is said to be;

“a revolutionary product that allows you to get summer battle results without having to fight. It is a dream item that uses a unique stamp paste system to recreate the countless traces left behind when you kill an enemy.”

However, the funny part is that even Pinkoi has no idea where the demand for this product is.

At the time of writing, the product has generated 981 views on Pinkoi itself.

Meanwhile, ekoD’s post on Facebook has also garnered some attention, with over 1k shares. Most netizens found the product to be rather amusing.

Well, it seems like these mosquito stamps can be used as a prank on your friends, especially if you’re in the mood to slap someone. Or perhaps you could just use it as decoration to ‘liven’ up your stationery.

What do you think about this mosquito stamp? Would you buy it? Let us know in the comments below!
