One of the loveliest things in the world is the unending love and care a grandparent has for their grandchild.

Which is why Malaysians are crying over seeing just that in a grandfather-granddaughter duo spotted on the roads of Alor Setar, Kedah.

Cik Puan Gojes took to their Facebook page to showcase the two, who was seen on a bicycle together at a traffic light. It appears that the grandfather was picking up his granddaughter from school in the blistering heat, with a huge school bag.

Initially assuming the man was the little girl’s father, many cried in the comments section as they reflected on the situation the duo had to endure. But, when they found out the man was, in fact, the girl’s grandfather, the tears flowed harder.

The team behind Cik Puan Gojes, a local fashion and cosmetics brand, managed to track down the adorable two and their family, in order to provide whatever help they could give.

It turns out that the grandfather is sick, causing him to become unemployed and has been temporarily staying at his children’s house, in which he took the opportunity to send and pick up his granddaughter to and from school on his bicycle.

Many then offered to buy him a motorcycle but unfortunately, his illness has caused one of his eyes to go blind, rendering him unable to operate the vehicle.

But thankfully, the team behind Cik Puan Gojes will be helping the elderly man in obtaining treatment for his eye and his illness, and will look further into how they and the public can aid him.

“Our team will arrange for the treatment for Tokwan’s eyes first before anything else. There is no function for a motorcycle right now if it endangers him and his health,” they wrote in their video.

They also added that his children have a vehicle but the granddaughter chose to ride on the bicycle with her grandfather as she loves him.

We genuinely hope that the grandfather recovers from his illness, so that the adorable duo can keep going on their adventures. And kudos to the team behind Cik Puan Gojes, for helping them through their difficulties.

Stay tuned for more updates!
