Pineapple is perhaps one of the local’s favourite fruits. It is not only delicious but the fruit is also loaded with nutrients and contains disease-fighting antioxidants.
The skin and leaves are cut off prior to consumption, but a woman from Thailand defied all odds by eating the pineapple WHOLE, without peeling the skin and leaves! Ouch!
In the 1 minute TikTok video, she started off by dipping the uncut pineapple into a seemingly homemade chilli sauce while talking to the camera. When she was done talking, she dipped the fruit again into the sauce and started biting on it casually. If you watch the video, she did not seem to be suffering from any kind of pain while chewing on the uncut pineapple!

Surprisingly, the comment sections are filled with Malaysian netizens who seemed impressed yet frightened of her ability to chew the fruit without cutting off the skins and removing the leaves.

Is pineapple skin really edible?
While it may not seem common, Prepared Cooks reported that pineapple skin is not only edible but it will also boost our immunity and improve the digestive system. It can also improve our oral health besides fighting diseases in the gums and the tissues.
Pineapple skins, in general, are not poisonous but if eaten unripe, they will cause some side effects such as burning sensations on the tongue, lips and throat. Additionally, the peels can also be used in making juice and tea.
