The owner of a private resort on Pulau Lang Tengah will be summoned on Thursday (May 23) in regards to the organisation of a party on the resort grounds.
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Terengganu state Exco for Tourism, Culture, Environment and Climate Change, Datuk Razali Idris shared that those involved in the organisation of the party have been asked to submit an explanation in regards to the party that has gone viral online.
The meeting will also include the Terengganu Religious Affairs Department (JHEAT) and the Kuala Terengganu City Council (MBKT).
“We will investigate this matter first, if there is an offense in terms of regulations or by law, then we will take action. We will first examine the answers from the private resort premises before any action is taken, whether it is wrong in terms of entertainment, tourism or permit approval guidelines,” he said.
Razali has also called on the public to pass on any information on such issues to the authorities.
“If there is evidence that (the issue) violates the law or that there are Muslims involved in the party, it can be channeled to the religious office for further investigation. God willing, we will all take care of and advance the tourism sector of our state,” he added.
