Sometimes, it’s nice to find something to do to pass the time after eating lunch during recess. And these students really know how to make the most of their recess!
In a recent heartwarming video shared by teacher @one76914, he gives us a peek into his students’ recess time as they enjoy a game of bowling at the school.
The teacher is a bowler himself
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Wan Roslan, a teacher at Sekolah Kebangsaan Nami in Kedah, shared the backstory of the bowling lane. He explained that he came up with the idea in 2018, and in 2023, he upgraded the lane using wooden platforms with the help of his colleagues.
The teacher used to play bowling from 2015 to 2019 and resumed in 2023, felt inspired to create this facility for his students because of his own love for the sport.
“Thank you for everyone’s support!”
Wan Roslan revealed that many students at the school are passionate about bowling. They often ask why the lanes are closed if there’s ever a day when the bowling alley isn’t available.
He mentioned that whenever he plans a 2-hour activity as an extracurricular, students would always request to extend it to 3 hours instead.
“I want to extend my gratitude to all the readers and everyone showing support in the comments. Your encouragement means a lot to the teachers and students. It helps them develop a passion for the sport, just like it does for me. Thank you!
Students would represent the school to play bowling every year!
The teacher was thrilled after setting up 2 lanes at the school. But with so many students keen on playing, he realised that 2 lanes weren’t enough.
“They often have to wait for their turn because we only have two lanes. Still, I’m happy to see students getting involved in the sport each year and even representing the school at the state level (MSSK).”
