In most families, siblings usually ban together in their later years to serve a single commonality: their parents. However, it’s also important to remember that while all children have obligations towards the people who brought them into this world, they also have duties towards the one’s they came in with.
A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after one father named Arif, shared a clip to his page @muhammadarifadnan90 of his 2 children at school. Warming hearts across the platform, the video simply showed how Arif’s youngest son, 5-year-old Aairil, helped his elder sister, 7-year-old Aaira, put on her shoes before leaving the premises.
Arif also shared in the video that his daughter is autistic. In the clip, young Aairil patiently kneeled at his sister’s feet while putting her shoes on for her. Patient and careful, Aairil even adjusted the angle at which Aaira’s foot went into the shoe before tightening it, to ensure that it didn’t fall off once she started walking.
Shortly after, the 5-year-old picked up his elder sister’s bag before passing it to her. Holding her hand, the young boy guides his sister out of the school and towards their father, who waited for them just feet away from the classroom.
“Thank God for a younger brother who understands that his sister is special,” wrote Arif in the caption of his post.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Arif stated that his son has always known that his older sister was special. While Aairil is not aware of the condition specifically, Arif stated that he has spoken to Aairil about Aaira’s different needs.
“They are in the same school but in different classes, my daughter is in a special stream. The school allows parents to pick up their children at the doorstep of the classroom for the special stream, but we have already developed a daily routine so my son will greet her at the door and bring her to the car. I also stand nearby to monitor them,” said Arif to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Warming hearts online, many people praised little Aairil for being such a good brother to his older sister, and despite not knowing why she needs different care as of yet, sees to her needs anyway.
“Oh little brother will be a true gentleman one day!” wrote one user.
A plethora of people also expressed how much emotion the video brought out in them, commending Arif and his wife for teaching their child valuable lessons in life.
“How amazing are the teachings of a mother and father, the best. Congratulations to both of you on your children,” complimented another user.
