At the start of a relationship, everything always seems to be pretty peachy because after all, we’d be on our best behaviour. However, gradually, we would reveal our true selves since everyone has a little bad habit or two.

SweetRing, a dating app that focuses on serious relationships, recently shared with WORLD OF BUZZ the results of an online questionnaire targeted at Malaysians that turned out to have some rather surprising results.

The questionnaire was answered by 300 females and 300 males aged 23 to 45 years old. The purpose of the survey was to find out which habits annoy them the most and the results may just surprise you! According to the survey, 85% of the total respondents said that they’d be annoyed if they had a stingy partner who was always counting every single sen.

When asked, the women said that they would be irritated if, during a date, a man wanted to park his car in a parking lot that was far away just because it was free. Another example of being stingy was, if the bill came and the man becomes super calculative up until the last sen.

Meanwhile, for men, they said that if a person used their expired student card to get discounts and promotions, this was going too far to save money and is a rather shameful act. Not to mention that it’s wrong too! The results from the survey showed that 60% of the male respondents said they can’t stand it when their girlfriend insists on being high profile with their relationship on social media. They reasoned that a relationship should be between two people and oversharing was a sign of naive behaviour.

In contrast, 60% of the female respondents said that they hope their boyfriend would post a couple photo on their social media after they had been in a relationship for more than three months. Other bad habits that would irk the male respondents include asking weird questions such as “Am I prettier than your ex?” while 50% said they didn’t like it when their girlfriends didn’t wash their hair as they preferred it freshly washed and shiny.

For the girls, 70% of them said they were unhappy when their boyfriends were addicted to playing computer games. They said that they felt neglected when their boyfriends did so because it was like they loved the games more than their own girlfriends.

Over 50% of the female respondents said that they hated it if their boyfriends lied as they would not trust them anymore. Surprisingly, only 40% of the women said that they’d be annoyed if they had boyfriends who smoked and reasoned that this habit was harming their health and wasting money.

Now you know what are the generally annoying habits that would piss off your partner! Perhaps it’s time for a change so that you can strengthen your relationship!
