Understanding your IQ (Intelligence Quotient) offers insights into yourself and comparisons with others, especially if your score is far from average. It can reveal strengths and challenges in social, career, and academic areas.
That being said, based on the results from the 19,565 Malaysians who took the test, Malaysia is ranked 38th among participants from 115 countries around the world, according to Ranking Royals.
Countries Ranked by Their Average IQ
According to International IQ Test‘s findings, the study analysed data from 1,691,740 people worldwide who took the same test in 2023.
Malaysia secured the 38th spot with a score of 99.55, showing an improvement from their score of 99.07 the previous year when 19,532 people took the test.
Leading the rankings is South Korea with an impressive score of 107.54. Following closely behind are China in 2nd place with a score of 106.99, and Iran in 3rd place with a score of 106.84.
The average IQ is higher in East Asia!
Besed on the data, the results indicate that the average IQ tends to be higher in East Asia, and close to average in Europe, Western Asia, Oceania, North America, and North Africa, while being below average in Central and Southern Africa, and Latin America.
People considered “gifted” usually have an IQ above 130, which means they often find intellectual activities easier.
Some common traits among gifted individuals include curiosity and a strong desire to learn, high levels of perfectionism, occasional obsessive interest in specific subjects, and more.
