It is no doubt that GrabFood has become one of the go-to food delivery services in KL recently and everyone has been raving about how good it is, from the varieties of food available, to the speed at which they are delivered.

Now, after about a year since its launch, Grab Malaysia has released the good news that GrabFood is expanding its services outside of the Klang Valley starting 22 April!Ā

As reported by The Star, this doesn’t just apply to Peninsular Malaysia where GrabFood will be introduced to Penang, Melaka and Johor Bahru, but the service will also be extended to Kuching, Sarawak and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Yay!

Meanwhile, Grab Malaysia has also announced that users will no longer need to use the GrabFood app starting 17 April, as it will soon be merged with the Grab app, making it easier for users to manage all their Grab-related services in one single app.

“Since our launch last year, our orders have been steadily growing by 30% on a monthly basis, and to date, we have completed more than two million deliveries. Therefore, the move to integrate the GrabFood app with the Grab app will bring more value and opportunities to all who are part of GrabFood’s ecosystem,” said Grab Malaysia country head Sean Goh.

With this app, customers can view the latest promotions and featured restaurants as well as see key information such as closing times and ratings by other clients. They can also redeem and use GrabRewards vouchers, and communicate with Riders through the GrabChat feature where they can even give special instructions like “Please ring the doorbell”.

What a huge step forward Grab Malaysia has taken. I’m sure many Malaysians will be pleased with all the new implementations that are coming soon!
