Recently, this roti canai went viral on TikTok for how “unique” it looks.
The caption for this TikTok posted by @abangterbang reads as, “One roti biawak. Two eggs. Flood the biawak with curry.”
As requested by one of his followers, @abangterbang created this innovative and surreal roti canai that looks incredibly similar to an actual biawak.

Receiving a whopping 46.6k likes and 2558 comments on TikTok, netizens have different thoughts on this unique roti canai creation.

Amazed by what they saw, several TikTok users commented on how different this roti canai is.
One TikTok user commented, “This is new. Halal biawak. Now we can eat this,”
Another TikTok user was so amazed and complimented how great the restaurant is to make such a unique creation. “Next level kind of new menu,” said the user.
Despite the positive and supportive comments, the TikTok was also left with a number of backlash from viewers.
“Even looking at it makes me don’t want to eat it ???”
One user felt like the creation of this unique roti canai is insulting towards the food. Comparing their hometown to the video, mentioning how even they do not “stoop that low“.
Questioning the name given to the dish, one user showed their disappointment.
With all the negative comments received from the video, @abangterbang apologizes and clarified the reason for the video in the comment section.
@abangterbang explained the reason he made the video was to fulfill a request from one of his followers. He further explains that this dish is not for sale as the video was mainly for content.

Despite all the backlash, a number of TikTok users had fun watching the video to extent of them suggesting other weird ideas for @abangterbang to create.
From a cat roti, to the famous “siakap tiga rasa“, TikTok users are getting creative with their suggestions.
One user even requested for a pocong roti canai!
