Taking to Facebook, netizen Khai Beng Tan shared images of senior citizens wearing pink Covid-19 home quarantine tags roaming around Kg. Berjaya, Alor Setar.

In his Facebook status he writes, “Spotted in Kg. Berjaya, Alor Setar. OMG! OMG!”

“Now you know why fresh cases in Alor Setar keeps going up.”

“They are all super stubborn.”

Netizens commenting on the Facebook post however were quite apologetic towards the problem.

One netizen added that the government should do something about this – like placing them in a designated quarantine facility.

“The government should place them in a designated quarantine facility. The current situation may be difficult for them.”

“What more if they live alone and depend on themselves to fetch daily goods.”

Let’s hope that authorities in Alor Setar will take necessary steps to give senior citizens the care they need and help them in breaking the Covid-19 chain.
