A video from inside an LRT train has been circulating on social media recently, depicting a massive amount of water pouring into the carriage via a leak.
Recorded and shared by 颗粒蒙奇闪 on the Chinese social media site Xiaohongshu, many Malaysians flood the comments to express their shock at the incident, with many also joking that the whole thing is a new “waterfall” feature of the train.
“Waterfall” inside an LRT
In the 4-second video, a large amount of water can be seen pouring into the LRT train carriage through what looks like a leak in one of its vents.
As the “waterfall” started to get bigger, commuters sitting near the leak immediately stood up and left the vicinity to avoid getting splashed or worse, soaked by the water.
However, other commuters in the carriage were seemingly oblivious to the leak or didn’t seem to be bothered much by it.
In the comments, 颗粒蒙奇闪 revealed that the train is part of the LRT Kelana Jaya line, with the leak taking place on the way to the Taman Jaya LRT station.

Malaysians share their thoughts on the incident
In the comments section, many Malaysians were shocked at seeing the incident and made sarcastic remarks about the leak.
One commenter said that the pouring water looks like something from the popular theme park Sunway Lagoon.
Meanwhile, another commenter said that since there is a waterfall at Singapore’s Changi International Airport, naturally Malaysia needs to have its own “waterfall” feature so that we can’t lose to our neighbour.
Besides that, another commenter said that Malaysia is indeed a magical country as even the LRT sends passengers to experience our gorgeous waterfall.
