The journey of life can often be filled with many twists and turns. While some denote certain instances to a sheer coincidence, others may say that it was fate which lead them to a specific outcome. Yet, there are some situations that can genuinely make your jaw drop at just how serendipitous things can turn out to be.

Such an instance was recently shared by Malaysian content creator and influencer Jenn Chia, who popularly goes by her online presence as SoImJenn. In a clip shared to her TikTok page @soimjenn.official, Chia shared a remarkable discovery – that her now-husband actually appeared in the background of a photo of her from years ago, before they had even met.

Sharing a photo of herself eating at a restaurant in October 2012, Chia revealed that her husband was actually standing in the background, looking somewhere else. Astoundingly, the two did not even know of each other at the time, as Chia revealed that they had only started dating two years later in 2014, eventually tying the knot recently in 2023, nine years after the original photo was taken.

“I’m still shaking looking at this. We were at the same place but didn’t know each other existed,” she wrote in a caption across the screen of her TikTok video.

Posting the same clip to her Instagram page @soimjenn, Chia said that despite the photo, she believes that they met at the right time.

“The right person will always find you at the right time,” she penned under the post.

Sharing in Chia’s surprise, many users commented on her post, saying that the only logical explanation of their meeting is due to The Invisible String Theory. According to this idea, individuals believe that the universe itself is “stitched” together with unseen threads, which eventually lead people to their ultimate destinies.

On the other hand, multiple users also commented on how fate determined Chia and her partner’s future, adding how they hope that the same thing will happen to them at some point down the line too.
