Time consuming and detail oriented, most people who wear makeup will likely agree that it takes more than just a few items to bring one’s face to an absolute glow. And while the majority of these people are women, having men understand the complexities behind this effort can sometimes make for an entertaining sequence of events.

Malaysian TikTok creator Tieya recently shared snippet from a family day event she attended alongside her husband to her page @tieya_tya. For one of the competitions held during the event, a select number of husbands were required to apply their wives’ makeup for them.

In the clip, all the wives sat back in their seats, as their spouses methodically applied their makeup for them – probably the first time for all the couples present. Diligently making headway, Tieya’s husband carefully applied a layer of foundation on his wife’s face before continuing with blush and eyeshadow.

Sharing a few laughs throughout the clip, the duo worked together as Tieya instructed her hubby on what to do next and how much makeup to layer onto her face. At one point, Tieya’s husband even held his wife’s face before applying eyeliner and lipstick to her eyes and lips respectively.

Taking a final snapshot of how he performed, it seemed as though Tieya’s husband did a good job, earning himself the first prize, winning a small hamper for their family.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Tieya stated that the family day event was conducted by her husband’s workforce. Working with the army as part of the 17th Battalion (Parachute) Royal Malay Regiment, the affair was held at the Terendak Camp in Melaka. Applauding her husband, Tieya mentioned how proud she was of his abilities, despite not having any familiarity with makeup prior to the challenge.

“My guess is that he has seen me get ready plenty of times before, and he has seen the makeup that lies on my dressing table. So when it came to the event, maybe there was some awareness on what to do for the competition,” added Tieya to WORLD OF BUZZ.

Receiving praise from many people online, various users mentioned how clever Tieya’s husband must be, with some women adding that even they don’t apply their makeup products as well as he did.

“He has artistic hands for sure! He must be very good at drawing,” commented one user.
