In this endless universe, we’re definitely not alone. But when you’re supposed to be alone at home, what happens when you find out there’s someone who has been “borrowing” your space without your knowledge?
In this case, a Malaysian radio DJ recently had the biggest fear of her life when she found out a stranger has been intruding her safe space whenever she wasn’t home. After coming home from a work trip on 11 July at 9:30 am, the DJ, Emely said that she noticed the TV was on, and an unknown man in red t-shirt came out from the kitchen.
It was obvious that the stranger was making himself at home, and Emely was shocked. She immediately took out her phone and recorded her conversation with the man, who said that he climbed into her house.
When asked why did he do that, the “creepy crawler” said,
“I just wanted to do some of your stuff.”
The man also said that he’s currently unemployed and he confessed to something creepy – this wasn’t his 1st time intruding Emely’s house.
“This is my 4th time. I usually come to your house when you’re out to work at dawn.”
In another FB post, Emely shared a few screenshot of conversations with her neighbors, who told her that they have seen the man a few times. Let’s just say, the man knew what he was doing and he certainly knew his way around the apartment which explains why the neighbor’s family thought he was Emely’s boyfriend.
“I think he showered at your place. I always see him when I’m out for work around 6:30 am. He also acts suspiciously at the car park.”
“You’re too pretty, Emely”
The DJ brought the matter to the management of the building but unfortunately, their response was not favourable. She yelled “help!” when the man tried to leave the lobby, and it took her 5 minutes to get a response from 1 of the staff.
Emely highlighted the matter to another staff and yet again she received an unfavourable response… the staff blamed her for what happened.
“She said I’m to be blamed when something bad happens because I’m too attractive. I know she might be joking but I can’t believe she has such a belief.”
“RM3,000 fine”
In another FB post, Emely revealed that she has brought the matter to the attention of the police, and shared a screenshot of the blurred police report. In the comment section, Emely revealed that the man was slapped with a RM3,000 fine.
It’s scary to think what, or who could be hiding in your safe space. It must be traumatising for Emely to find a “creepy crawler” in her house, and we hope that she can recover from the nightmare.
