The best part of Raya has to be getting duit raya! This year, though, people are getting really creative with what they give out to their relatives.
In a recent Raya video, @shahrulfahmyyyyy adds a creative twist to the festivities by giving out Khairul Aming’s dendeng as a gift instead of the traditional duit raya while celebrating Eid in Batu Pahat, Johor.
Dendeng as duit raya!
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Fahmy explained how he got the idea to give out dendeng to his family because they had previously tried to buy Khairul Aming’s popular dendeng but couldn’t manage to get their hands on it.
For those who don’t know, Khairul Aming’s famous sambal nyet and dendeng are always in high demand and often sell out quickly.
“I consider myself lucky because every time I attempt to buy the dendeng, my timing works out, and I manage to get it before it sells out.”

Fahmy explained that he also got the idea because he often hears from family, friends, and even strangers that he resembles Khairul Aming, jokingly being called his doppelganger.
He explained how he wanted to add a unique touch this year by giving his family something special they could enjoy, rather than the typical duit raya.
“My family was thrilled, and you could hear their cheers as I handed out the dendeng. Instead of giving out sampul duit raya, I wanted to give them something different.”
This video which is going viral at the moment has garnered 293.1K views and 22.8K likes as at time of writing!
