In this day and age, it is difficult to find politicians with integrity, who do not have their own agendas or are in the political game to gain fame and fortune.

And apparently, some parties have attempted to poach certain politicians from other parties by offering large sums of money.

DAP Malaysia took to their Twitter page to share Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak vice president and Mas Gading MP, Mordi Bimol’s story of how he was offered millions in the past to jump ship from DAP.

Jump 2

“The first time I was persuaded to jump ship was in 2019. They knew I was staying at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur so they waited for me at the hotel lobby. I am proud to say I was not tempted by the offers. I am committed to DAP as I believe this is a party that works hard and truly cares about the rakyat (people),” he said.

He was allegedly offered millions to leave DAP and join another party.

“Twice I was offered money to jump parties. Once I was offered RM2 million and later, RM5 million. Both times I said no. My heart is with DAP,” he added.

It is unknown as to which party made the monetary offers to have him join them.

His sense of integrity and loyalty to his political party has since gained praised from the general public.

If you were a politician, would you jump ship to a different party if you were offered a large sum of money? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
