It’s no secret that Malaysians like littering rather than keeping their trash with them until they find a designated rubbish bin to dispose of it properly. And it looks like this behaviour has also been adopted by those who visit our country.

Thankfully, there are still some out there who despise this behaviour and are unafraid to show it.

The AFN Performance TikTok page recently showcased how a man driving a Perodua Axia, had returned the rubbish (what appears to be orange peel) thrown onto the road by a passenger of a Singaporean-registered vehicle at a traffic light in Malaysia.

They wrote, “We salute this brother for his bravery in confronting people who throw rubbish as they please. We all have to be brave and responsible like this. P.S. Thankfully my wife was holding me back or the owner of the vehicle would have been eating the orange peel.”

In the video showcased, the Axia driver could be seen knocking on the window of the Singaporean vehicle before bending down to pick up the orange peel.

He then returned the orange peel to the passenger of the Singaporean vehicle while giving them a stern look, before returning to his car.

We definitely need more people confronting litterbugs, may they be Singaporeans or Malaysians.
