Local Radio DJ Says He Makes 6 Figures a Month After Working There for 21 Years

Salary is always P&C and aside from our family members, we rarely reveal the exact amount we make every month to others. We don’t want others to pry on how well we do, or how little we earn.

A local radio DJ, Jack Lim recently revealed how much he makes in a month. In the 2nd episode of a reality show MY我容易吗, when asked about his salary, he didn’t spill the tea immediately. He knew he wasn’t going to say the exact amount out loud, but he just had to make sure of 1 thing.

“I can tell you but are you guys sure you won’t spill it out?”

So, back to the question – How much does Jack make a month throughout his 21 years of employment at the radio station?

Before Jack answered the question, he admitted that 10 years ago, he stopped caring about the amount he makes.

“But I can estimate that I make 6 figures a month today.”

Everyone at the scene was shocked by the reveal and 1 of them reconfirmed by asking Jack again, “You mean annual or monthly salary?”

Jack’s long-time collaborator in the industry, DJ Meiyan admitted that it doesn’t mean anything to her even after she knew Jack makes 6 figures a month.

“Our friendship means so much more than money,” DJ Meiyan said.

“He deserves it for his hard work”

Local actor, Zhen Ning, who was part of the reality show was also surprised about the reveal, saying he expected a 5-figure salary at most.

“He works hard, so he deserves it.”

“He has been a DJ for more than 20 years, and he has been involved in movies, advertisements, and short films. I’ve worked with him and I know how packed his schedule is. He really deserves the 6-figure.”

“He has his own business. He makes movies and shoots advertisements. He’s merely earning the money that he truly deserves.”

“It sounds easy to earn that much in 21 years but you don’t see the struggle he had to go through to be where he is today. Everyone goes through trials and errors.”

You can watch the YouTube clip below from the 45:43 mark until 47:45, where Jack spoke about his pay.
