The quarantine period for positive Covid-19 cases is seven days, but it looks like it can be reduced for those who heal faster.

The Ministry of Health (KKM) has announced the test and release procedures in which if patients test negative on the fourth day of their quarantine periods, they will no longer need to remain in quarantine.

Test 1

They wrote, “Here is the test and release procedure for COVID-19 positive cases. Always practice TRIIS (test, report, isolate, inform, seek) in your daily routine and do a self-test to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

The test and release procedure is as follows:

  1. The patient, on the fourth day of their quarantine period, can undergo an RTK-Ag Covid-19 test. This must be done under a medical practitioner’s supervision, whether in person or virtually.
  2. The test results will then be uploaded to MySejahtera by the medical practitioner.
  3. If the patient tests negative and once the results reflect on MySejahtera, the patient is then allowed to end their quarantine.
  4. If the results come up positive, the patient will have to complete their seven day quarantine.
  5. No further tests are required after the seventh day.

We genuinely hope that everyone stays safe and adheres to the Covid-19 SOPs to prevent further spreading of the virus.
