In light of the recent accident, where a giant LED screen fell right on top of a dancer head-on, the dancer, whose name is Ah Mo, is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU).
According to Sin Chew Daily, the dancer is currently suffering from a brain haemorrhage and a slight cervical fracture (broken neck).
Depending on the severity of the fracture, this unfortunate incident may leave him disabled from the neck down.
The dancer has undergone intensive surgery, and although it was a success, his recovery would take a long time. As of now, doctors cannot provide a timeframe for how fast he can recover.
Ah Mo’s parents are currently on a flight back to Hong Kong from Canada. Unfortunately, due to the COVID SOPs currently in place in Hong Kong, they would have to quarantine for another 7 days before moving to the hospital.
The other dancer, who sustained light injuries on his hips and neck, was ordered to stay in the hospital for further observation. He will be discharged as soon as he passes any other required medical checks.
Thankfully their conditions are considered stable, and we hope for their speedy recovery!
